Ibai Linacisoro and Nuria Tornero Winners of the Combined Event.

The Spanish team of the U16 category stays very strong in the XXI Borrufa Trophy. Today, as far as the Spaniards go, was a huge success with the extraordinary performance of the girls team coupled with Ibai Linacisoro’s victory. He managed to beat the overall winner of the category Jan Straka, who in today’s combined event had to console himself with second position. Jan Sasplugas was third after a great performance in the Special Slalom (SL). Amongst the girls, Nuria Tornero was the most consistent skier in both specialties. The fight for second position overall, between the Russian skier Polina Ivanova and the Andorran skier Noemí Mora, was a very close one. In the end, it was Ivanova who edged in front but only by 4 hundredths of a second. The U16 category skiers started the combined event by racing the Special Slalom and then going on to the Supergiant slalom (SG).
