In U14, Begino the big surprise and Moreno on a golden streak.

In the second day of the Borrufa Trophy 2014, the youngest participants raced on a slalom in which Juan Cruz Begino (ARG1) and Candelaria Moreno (AND1) were the fastest. Mikel Linaciroso, the slalom’s last year winner, was taken by surprise by Begino. Meanwhile, Candelaria Moreno, on her first year in the Borrufa, managed to win after a direct competition with Kiara Derks from the Netherlands and Alexandra Karachun from Russia, second and third on the U14F slalom’s final podium. Julie De Leeuw from Belgium was the fastest on the first heat but couldn’t keep up on the second and ended up 6th. As previously stated, amongst the boys, Linacisoro and Begino fought for the first place until the very last meter of the competition. After the first heat, the difference between both was only 11 hundredth of a second. At the end of the day, itwas the Argentinian skier who managed to steady his nerves.
