Carchat-Leites back from their holidays on top form.
Joan Carchat-"Leites" staged a great performance in one of the most demanding events of the Suzuki Cup 2011, the 42nd Ferrol Rally. The Andorran driver once again stood on the podium (2nd place) in his third visit to Galicia, and what´s more became the new leader of this year´s Suzuki Swift Cup. Despite all this, Carchat was somehow disappointed at the end of the race. He could have won, but he slipped off the road on the penultimate special stage and that was key to being overtaken by local driver, Pablo Rey, in an amazing ending. In Galicia, the rain is always a very important factor and, in fact, Carchat feels very confident driving in rainy conditions. However, this year has been the exception and the asphalt remained completely dry. In this regard luck wasn´t on the side of the Automòbil Club d´Andorra Junior Program´s team.
